Scotland Motorhome 2022

With covid-19 related restrictions forcing us to cancel our 2021 roadtrip to Austria, we made the decision to stay in the UK this year! When Jana and Petr, our friends from the Czech Republic, asked whether we would like to join them on a motorhome driving holiday in Scotland, it was time get planning. To avoid the long drive before the trip we are travelling to Inverness on the overnight sleeper train, then hiring our motorhome for two weeks of exploring the North Coast 500, Isle of Skye and finishing off with a few nights in a hotel in Aviemore before returning south again on the sleeper. Well, that's the plan assuming rail strikes and extreme weather don't get in the way!

For those following us on our trip, see below for the planned schedule. It's quite fluid this year and will depend on how the driving is going in a large motorhome on the small roads of northern Scotland! As we progress through the trip each blog will be linked from the schedule.
